Mathew is correct, not cynical! The project is a minority project. True diversity doesn’t exclude any race, color or creed, as this one seems to do. Great project, just weak on the definition of true ‘diversity’! I’m the other Kevin P, we seem to have similar views, but two different folks.

This makes the most sense.I see nothing wrong with hiring minority owned business to build up the very communities they live in. More projects like this around the city would definitely have an impact on communities with high crime rates.I believe although not the only answer and solution to the crime in Indy,i do feel bringing better paying jobs and awarding major contracts to 100% minority owned contractors is a very good step in the right direction.Indy keeps this up and you’ll see major growth in population and diversity that hasn’t been seen before.What better way to help a community than to not only invest in it but also allow the people from that community the opportunity to build it exclusively. This is great to see and hear, new life too that area of Indianapolis. That community like Sammy other deserves to have this kind of positive growth and diversity.
Disinvestment happens when chain stores leave because of too much theft. This is the neighborhood’s fault when it happens. This story is a good deed, if they hire folks from the area even better. Changing the theft habits also need to change. Around the country it’s a pandemic of theft. It only stops if people see as wrong, not justified.
Love this opportunity and to see the impact made in the city and the community around the project. This will have lasting affects on the skilled works and companies that have been part of this project.
